I am totally blown away..

I have two JP BFR 7s, and a few days ago I was able to test out a reflex and a supersport.
I have a very "home made" playing style, and I run through most of the 70s, 80s, and 90s as well as some todays reg. metal and sidestyles, like prog, djent and so forth.. When I picked up the reflex I thought "hell no", this couldn't fit me and my style in a long shot.
And the supersport..? Way to weird body for my style..

oh boy oh boy was I wrong.. I just can't belive it.
As soon as the reflex touched my lap, the same feeling of quality and "fit" just smacked my forehead!
It just felt right with weight, position, and feel..
And the supersport?? Sometimes I start looking for details in a guitar, details I know my fingers and hands search for automaticly in a new instrument. But with this one, I couldn't even think of details anymore.. It was like putting on a custom glove :S

I live in Norway, yeah? So these can't be found in every corner, so it pissed me off I didn't have the greens..

I still found "my" guitar in the first BFR production in the JP series, but still I don't think I would have any problems playing my way through these two great guitars.
That half hour felt like christmas morning :D

My dear Sterling, and the rest of the MM team..
I am sitting in the coldest corner, on the other side of the earth, and I'm totally blown away AGAIN by your instruments.. Your work matters like hell, and it seems like I am able to spot the MusicMan quality with blind folds on my eyes!

Good work guys, and blessed be from the start, up till todays production!

I just got a hell of a lot more respect for what you guys do!

I totally get what you're saying. A long time ago, I used to think the same thing about the Axis. The shape just didn't look right (as I was raised on Strats). Also, I never got along with flat-topped guitars. One day when I was taking my daughter guitar shopping, I saw an Axis and grabbed it because it was there. The neck was so comfortable that I couldn't put the guitar down. Then I realized how the bridge sits further back towards the tail so that an arm contour really isn't necessary. That was such a strong impression that it made me turn into a neck snob.
For some reason, I took the long route to Axis ownership. I always thought that the JP was perfectly designed for my purposes. Now that I finally bought the Axis I realize that I'm a total Axis convert. The guitar is the complete package from comfort to awesome tones. As much as I love my JP XI, it's just not getting played as much these days.
