I replaced my bridge PUP in my silo last night and noticed that there is a sort of trim pot on the what seems to be the silent circuit. Anybody know what it does????

You mean that cylinder glued to the pickguard? I think that *is* the silent circuit, and EB ain't saying what it is!

BTW...did the pickup you pulled have 2 leads or 3? The MM-90's in my AL have 3, and I don't know what the 3rd is for...

Yes. There is a trim pot on the silent circuit. It is there to adjust the resistance on the silent circuit
to match the single coil resistance on the factory
pickups to cancel the hum. The silent circuit is ajustable to match any single coil you want to put in your guitar.

Just the Single coil guitars and some of the new
Bongo Basses.

Petrucci would not have a silent circuit.

Thanks
