i know this is kind of in the faq, but there is conflicting information when i search the forums..
can someone just tell me which direction does what.. if i am wearing the bass rotating the truss wheel down towards the ground will straighten the neck?... or give more relief..

Here's an easy way to remember it.

You know intuitively that loosening the trussrod means more bow/more relief, right?

So think of the adjuster wheel as a bottle cap and the rod/neck as the bottle.

You're moving the adjuster in the same direction you would move a bottle cap to loosen/remove it.

good way to remember, im just paranoid about damaging my bass is all... had to be sure, im grand with most adjustments but trussrods scare me :confused: also with it at the other end of the neck than most basses i wasnt sure if the direction changed or not.. better safe than sorry and all that.. cheers for the help anyway

Turning towards the low B puts a Bow in the neck. B for bow.
