Hi folks,

I find the action on my Axis Sport a little high, so I turned the truss rod wheel counter-clockwise a couple of times to lower it, but it didn't seem to make any difference. Should I keep on turning it a couple times more?

thanks,
Mervin

You shouldn't have to turn it too far. And I believe you want to turn it clockwise to lower the action. Counter clockwise raises the action.

The trussrod may be sticking, hold the guitar at the body where the neck it bolted on and push the headstock back a bit. I believe Tommy told me about that little trick.

Thanks! I'll try it out.

Btw, I was turning counter clockwise like what it says in the EB FAQ ... atleast that's how I understood it

Q: What is the string height off the neck supposed to be?

Players can adjust the action lower or higher to fit their playing style. Clockwise to raise the fretboard, counter clockwise to lower it.

Yup, I've already adjusted the saddles. I'm playing with both truss rod and saddle adjustments since I'm getting some fret buzz on the low E string.

what i have found effective to check the truss rod ajustment....

put a finger on the 1st and 22nd fret...the gap at the 12th should be about 1/32 inch or there-about...that is how i adjust my necks.

hope this helps
