At this point, I'd say your best bet is to call CS and discuss the setup. I'm sure you got a good setup (my experience has always been that they're excellent), but if you want it lower, they can give you some tips and perhaps a shim if necessary.

Hi, remember me? I started the thread. Dang, I had no idea it was going to generate that many interesting comments  Sorry about those of you with the stubborn buzz. My case is a positive one. My low strings were buzzing to ridiculous levels -and I had noticed that my action had gotten a bit lower then when I bought the guitar- I don't have a climate control practice area so I suspected my truss rod was the issue. I followed the directions given to me in this post which is no more than a 1/4 counter-clockwise and the buzz is gone and my Axis is as good as when I bought it. Couldn't be happier! :D THANKS beej and everyone else for the tips!
Very happy to help ... glad that worked out for ya.

Thanks Beej....Just talked to CS and they are sending me a shim. I'll update when its installed

Good luck and hope the shim works out.

I might post some Axis setup basics as soon as I have time in the next few weeks. There are quite a few misconceptions out there about that marvel of a guitar setup-wise - it is it's own beast and requires some thought when tampering with the setup. But once you dialed it to your own specs, well, it rawks.
