I have a 20th Anny Silo that has recently had some neck issues (much like its current owner)!
Pictures attached.
1). The neck is bowed back with a hump peaking around 5th fret. I have loosened the truss rod screw (by turning it in small amounts to the left while looking from bridge to nut). It has had no effect.
2). I tried lifting the saddles as high as they could go before falling over.
3). Finally said screw it and took the neck off for closer inspection.
What I found was that the truss rod adjustment head simply backs off the bold and comes off. It does not actually turn the bar.
My questions are:
A). Is this normal or abnormal?
B). Any suggestions on a remedy?
All input appreciated! Tnx, Flash
