I have been told that the truss rod should be adjusted 1/4 turn at a time. I am unclear what is meant by 1/4 turn, meaning, since the wheel is round, or appears round, when I put the allen wrench in the slot, am I turning 1/4 turn for the total radius? Or, just from what I can see on the exposed silver wheel. Please help!

And that is exceptionally good advice (in so many situations) - one hole at a time.

My SR5 was a bit high when it arrived. I turned it 'one hole', waited ten minutes - perfect.

There are 8 holes in the wheel. I usually suggest turning the distance between one hole and the next. Baby steps.

Any particular reason you waited 10 minutes? Does it take that long for the wood to adjust ? That didn't sound right

Nothing Wrong With a Little Wait...

I too always wait a few minutes (5-10) between "tweaks" to allow everything to settle in.

Thanks, I never even thought about letting the wood settle or adjust. I will remember that. That could explain some issues I've been having with a guitar.:)
