Truss rod too tight?

This is Bobbo 77. My question is, first off, my neck is straight, with the right amount of relief, but in giving it a 1/4 turn the rod seem's to be tight. I don't have to adjust, but what if i have to tighten in the future? Is this rod messed up? Chime in and let me know !

First off, if your neck is where you want it, leave it alone. I have seen very few truss rods not working.i.e. run out of travel. It will get tighter as you turn it clockwise, but that is normal. I would not worry about it at all....Play it! Enjoy it!

Hey Jon,
Thank's for the reply back. I was a little worried since my other basses don't have this problem. but like I said, the neck is nice and straight!
