Truss Wheel Praise

A good story here.

I have my sub bass set up for standard tuning. The action is low. I needed to tune down to drop b to record a track.

Naturally, my strings are now laying on the frets and making lots of noise. Insert screwdriver and turn the wheel counterclockwise 1 and half times and the action is perfect.

I'm ready to rock in less than a minute.

And when I'm done I'll just tune up and twist it again.

Do you guys find that, while easy to make the occasional quick adjustment, you have any issues with overall intonation when tinkering with the "wheel of fortune"?

Well really I should have a 5 string if I want to play in B, but that will be a future ngd.

In general, not much. Of course, I do have to fine-tune the tuning after adjusting the truss, which makes sense. But the intonation generally stays close enough for - um, government work, as it were.

Yup, the wheel is awesome. I find I can always do some small adjustments to ensure the action is always correct. No excuses anymore.

I thought of this thread when i was messing with the BFR Bongo and the JP50 this morning. The wheel is awesome. Combined total to tweak action on 1 guitar and 1 bass.... 42 seconds. JOSH
