Just discovered something very cool on my bongo H H. Fret a note at the 5th or 17th fret any string and touch a harmonic off above the neck pickup pole nearest the neck on the same string. Slide your fretting hand up to the 7th or 19th fret and touch a harmonic above the pickup pole closer to the bridge on the same pickup . Very cool, you can easily have a harmonic added by just looking at the front pickup and touching one off. Same thing as on a strat where you can use the pole piece on the neck pickup to touch off a harmonic for the fretted note at the twelveth fret.

When I say "look at the pickup", it is to give me a reference point like a fret would.

Use a finger on your right hand, first or second works well and touch the string and lift immediately causing a harmonic note to relace the fretted note of your left hand. You can do this on any fretted note and then touch a harmonic 12 frets up with your right hand. Try one on the 5th fret or 17th fret and touch one directly above the pickup pole piece closest to the neck. The pole piece acts as a fret line where the 29th fret would be. The set of pole pieces to the right act as a fret line where the 31st fret would be.
