Phatty's 20th Anniversary Silhouette arrived this morning, and I promised him a torture thread (which he reminded me about this evening). It's a Maple fretboard, natural headstock, and standard top. The top is _______ed maple and while it is not insanely figured, I actually think it's one of the coolest we've had come through just because of how much it shifts at different angles.

No pics yet because what kind of a torture thread would it be if the money shot came right away? :D

So phatty, while you are reading this, I'm playing your guitar through my Soldano @ 11 and ticking off the neighbors with my rendition of Mary Had a Little Lamb. You know the sizzle you get just before your brains explode after you put your skull into a microwave? Well this guitar has more sizzle than that!

Maybe I'll post pics later on if you beg me.

Edit:

Ok, I guess that's enough begging. The top on this shifts something fierce, I don't know to classify it as quilted or flamed - it's one of the classiest tops I've seen, without being outrageous. If it had rosewood, I'd keep it :)

Now one would imagine that there would be a limit to the depths of insanity... However, I'm sure you will find that the histories of past tortures will be gaining another worthy compatriot. Keep in mind, we have many, many implements of destruction ready and aching to be used.

Where I live, it's now Wednesday.
This thread has expired.
The West Coast still has a couple of hours to go.

Guys -

I'm afraid Pete's camera has experienced an unfortunate accident. There will be no pictures forthcoming for at least 7-10 days.
