Could someone please give me a overview on tuning a floyd equipped Axis? I have checked FAQ's but am still confused. Thanks

easy tip - run the string through backwards so that the ball-end is at the tuning pegs. makes string changes super fast, plus you won't break your hands trying to nip the ball end off.

Did you get that Trans Gold one? Sweeeeeeeet.

This is how I do it:

1) Unlock all three clamps at the nut. Set the fine tuners to mid-thread.
2) Change one string at a time. I depress the trem when unlocking the bridge clamps to avoid marring the finish.
3) tune each string to pitch as you change it. They will flatten. Some of them will drop drastically (particularly the B and high E) It's OK. They're just stretching.
4) Once all the strings are changed, I shake each one gently at the 5th, 12th, and 17th frets to help the stretching along.
5) Tune the strings to pitch in this order: E-D-B-A-G-E. You'll have to do this several times. If one or two strings keep dropping in pitch, it's OK. You can tune them to pitch, clamp them down and leave them for a few minutes.
6) Once the strings are stretched, tune them low to high in playing position, E and A, clamp them down, D and G, clamp those down, then B and E, and clamp the last two down.
7) You can now use the fine tuners. You may run out of threading getting them in tune. If that's the case, loosen the nut clamps, retune, and retighten.

The good news is, once you get it in tune, they usually stay pretty well!
