Hey guys. So I figured that instead of saving up around $800 for a Sterling JP I'd go all the way to around $1500 for an EBMM JP6. How well does it keep in tune with whammy bar use? I play a lot of metal so I will go crazy on the bar. How well does it compare to a FR? I've heard that it's awesome and that I should expect it to stay in tune since it's a high quality guitar and it's also expensive as heck.

I have no problem whatsoever with mine, however YMMV. Proper setup of the bridge is essential, nut lube is certainly beneficial.

it stays in tune as well or (imho) even better than a Floyd. I use my trem a lot and my JP6 never disappoints.

No problemo! However, Tune-up is "everything"!!!!

Unless your car (I mean guitar) is tuned up (I mean set up) right, it doesn't matter what bridge you have, it ain't gonna stay in tune. Once the JP is tuned up correctly, it's super fast and unbeatable off the line.

I've had a small pile of JPs and none of them ever had a trem problem

Very stable, heavey mass bridge with a bigger brass block than a big block Floyd, locking tuners and a nice compensated graphite nut.

I never have problems with mine at all, (and I'm a Floyd fan from the 80s, so that's saying a lot)
