Would that make any sense?
I'm seriously considering replacing the stock bridge pickup on my Albert Lee with this twangbanger for more Tele like tones.
It's Tele like now, but i was wondering, would the twangbanger make it even better?

Butch, (or anyone else with ideas, advises etc.)
maybe you can give me some advise on this, i would appreciate it very much.
I've read on one of your posts that you replaced the little plate, with one they use on the twangbanger?
How's the tone like?

Any comments appreciated,
thanks,
Michell

I sent you an e-mail about this; but I'll answer here as well. I actually installed a Twang Banger in my Albert Lee. I didn't like it as well as the stock APS-2 with the Twang Banger baseplate. I have another Tele with a Duncan APTL-3JD (Jerry Donahue model) in it. The Twang Banger sounds very close. I want those two guitars to sound different.

BTW, the Twang Banger has good punch and warm mids. It has airy, yet sparkly highs that aren't piercing.

Cheers,

Hello Butch,

Thanks for your anwer.
I think i might try it and see if i like it.
I got this pickup from ebay real cheap and it seems to be a perfect combo with the stock neck and middlle pickups.
Not that the stock bridge pickup is bad, but i would love a sound that's even more tele-like. The little metalplate that is on it helps but i've heard many good things about the Twang Banger.

One more thing though,
At first, how did you install the baseplate to the stock APS-2?
There's a metal plate already, right? Did you had to remove it first?

Thanks again,

Michell

I removed the metal Strip. I then glued the Twang Banger's baseplate right on.
