No I didn't see BP's doppleganger

Was watching the Australian MTV awards and within ten minutes two different performers were using sterlings - the first one for Ashleigh Simpson (black on black rose neck) and the second was for the darkness (black on black with maple neck)....

I got so excited... hehe.... i don't think I have seen another in the wild (normally not enough shots of bassists to differentiate between sterlings and stingrays in film clips)....

For some reason my girlfriend didn't care...

Sorry to hear that. Went to see The Darkness and the first thing my girlfriend says when she sees the bass player is "Isn't that a Stingray?" Awwww hell, she was close enough. Made me proud I tells ya!

He was switching between black/rosewood and black/maple on stage (different tunings methinks). Man that show ROCKED! One of the best times I've had at a concert, and I've been to a LOT of shows. I didn't even think I was that big a Darkness fan, but I have been converted.

Whoah there! My girlfriend can spot a Stingray/Sterling now, but I never said anything about hypnotising her into understanding why I might need new/more basses/amps/cabs/etc. You're at another level! How'd you manage that?

My wife didn't realize "the green bass" and "the orange bass" were even the same make until I (stupidly) pointed it out to her:D
Then, of course, she asked why I needed two. To her credit I must say that she bought the "back-up bass" scenario without hesitation:D

The guitarist was awesome - he "out Gary Moored" Gary Moore!!!
They have a new bass player and I haven't seen him yet.
Next thing we know, the guitarists will be using Axis and Albert Lees !! HA!

Same with me. I liked the Darkness, but don't own any darkness cd. anyway, I went to the gig with friends of mine, and now I'm totally Darkness! I was really surprised by the musicla quality of their songs.
