And what a beautiful axe it is too!!!!! Played one at the local GC (it was beat beyond words) and it sounded great for the few minutes I spent with it----it was lighter than expected though--that surprised me!!!.

The rosewood Silo can never happen with the restrictions on Indian Rosewood. The laws have changed again and we got the last ten blanks available.

The guitar sounds greeat I think that I would have preferred the body glossy and the neck oiled but it is a great guitar.

Regrading wood...prepare to tell your grandkids about guitars made of ALder Manoghany rosewood and even MAPLE!!!!!

Even Maple? Man, I thought Maples were the weeds of the tree world! They are in my backyard.. I have to keep cutting them down every other year!

Yeah, that's interesting re: the woods. I was reading somewhere about rosewood. If I'm not mistaken, I read that it would take ~150 years(of growth) to be able to use a rosewood tree for guitar making purposes.
So much for growing them in my backyard:D .
But we got a sh*&load of mesquite down here in deep south Texas. Perhaps it can be used for something other than BBQ.

Thanks for the info., BP. Enjoy your new guitar.

Can I have it then, because I really REALLY love the look of the oiled body?
