Uh Oh... I got a Problem....

Sooo... I bought a JP6 (Pearl Redburst) with all the bells and whistles... I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I have a problem...

... I still can't play as fast as Petrucci! What the heck are these artist models for if they don't make you play like them??? I closed my eyes, cranked up the Amp and tried some runs.. nope, still not fast... You mean I gotta Practice?



Just kidding! LOVE LOVE LOVE the guitar! Sometimes I'll just open the case to look at it. I am also liking those RPS Strings and might just keep that brand on the guitar.

One thing I am wondering... is there any info on the Tremlo? I have looked on the Faq and have seen info on the compensated nut, but nothing on the Tremlo... from what I understand it is a good one. Is there anything special about it that can be shared?

... hmmm, maybe I need a different pick... that might work!

I think BP said it's the same tremelo as the silo, Luke and AL, just looks different and has a routed cavity. The MM tremelo RULES, I'll never own a floyd rose again unless it's an older guitar or a Morse

The trmelo seems to work really well and so far I like it... I dig the metal peice covering the back of the trem.... make a nice place to rest the hand...

1. please don't PM BP about this.
2. please contact customer service prior to posting your issues on this forum.
3. did you REALLY "cranked up the Amp" like you said, or did you just turn it up to 6?
4. don't even tell us you have ear plugs on!!
5. you sure its not an OLP?

Please keep us posted on this problem. if you still can't play like Petrucci, i'm gonna have to call my dealer and cancel my order. Someone told me if i buy a EBMM JP6, i would NEVER need to use the metronome again... unless to see how FAST i was playing.

My suggestion: buy an AL and see if you can play like Albert Lee on it. Let us know how that turns out...

BP..... one of the sparkles on the back of my new JP LE is at 97.77 degrees off alignment from all the others... can we get that fixed?

I mean my Ibanez and Parker have no flaws what so ever
