I've followed JP since the early ninty's. I've seen him in concert many times as well as met him in person at the NAMM show many years back. So, it is just me or does recent pictures of him look like he's been hitting the gym. He's always been a pretty thin guy, but he seems to be bulking up.

the petrucci has never been my fave...but NOW with this one I'm really really impresed....sometimes you don't really like a guitar and one day you see this guitar with a different finish and something happens...this is the thing for me now.
I had the same feeling with the silo 20 th when I saw it with a maple fretboard...

Brian Ball has the walnut one.....It is his favorite guitar we make. He wasnt a petrucci player before.

You want to know what this is? Allow me to narrate what is going through JP's head.
PIC 1: Huh?! I've been playing this F-1 for five minutes now and it hasn't melted!! Awesome!! Hm...should I play the solo from "Another Day" now or switch to Ultimate Destruction Mode instead?
PIC 2: AAAh! Argh! Look at everyone in the front row dying. Mwahahahah!
PIC 3: Hmmm! I think I need a manicure. I like playing The Dark Eternal Night because it's so easy that it gives me time to flex my biceps.
PIC 4: Oh Joy!! La Brie has just touched me! Now I can add him to the list of previous band members I've killed.

Seriously though it's fun to make fun of JP because we all know how humble and dedicated he is! I actually have to say though that almost every time JP blasts out a solo LaBrie will invariably come sling his arm around him near the end and say something like "This is John Petrucci Everybody!!" which slightly ticks me off because A) We all know he's John Petrucci and B) The guy is, for the moment, acting as a direct instrument of GOD and you really shouldn't touch him while he's doing that!!

The thing is, James does that as a signal to let the few people who weren't killed by the ultimo-destructo solo of JP know that they should cheer because they are still alive. It's also a bit of warning that JP will get most of them on his next solo.
