Yes, that would be cool.
In the next 2-3 weeks I'll start posting BFR pics on my site as they roll through.
^^Ya the cord is plugged into the magnetic-only jack. Why do you ask?
By the way welcome to the forum in case no ones said it yet!
Wait a second, this is walnut burst: http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-guitars/21197-john-petrucci-ball-family-reserve-pics.html
The color is vastly different from his JP7.
About the color:
Agreed that if this is walnut burst it loooks WAY different than the pics we've seen so far. I'm thinking this is one of the protos, in the color that John deemed too stodgy for production? Either that or vastly different lighting conditions than we've seen to date.
About the input jack:
Looks to me like he's in the stereo jack (presumably with a stereo cable, which gives him both signals on one wire until it gets split further down the signal path). That's how I run my JP6.. it's the jack farthest from the bottom strap button. The advantage? Both signals on one wire, which can then be routed to different amplification systems down the line.

Now Greenwizard is confused! The jack furthest from the strap button on my JP is indeed labeled "Stereo/Magnetic" but the only sound I can get from it is the mag pickups. If I plug into the Mono jack, which is closer to the button, then I can achieve either/both sounds by flipping the switch. Is this an unusual configuration?
