I've followed JP since the early ninty's. I've seen him in concert many times as well as met him in person at the NAMM show many years back. So, it is just me or does recent pictures of him look like he's been hitting the gym. He's always been a pretty thin guy, but he seems to be bulking up.

I was gonna say the same thing: When the H does John have time to work out???

Its all part of his world domination scheme ;) :D

No its correct- its labeled stereo/magnetic because you need a stereo cable to access both signals. That way you can send a single cable from the guitar and split the signals further down the chain- a mono cable will get you only the magnetic only from that jack and you need a second mono cable to get the piezo from the other jack if you want them going to separate amps.

Thank you!!
:D
I get it now!I think I'll have to experiment with that when I get to a land where things like "stereo cables" actually exist.

Now Greenwizard is confused! The jack furthest from the strap button on my JP is indeed labeled "Stereo/Magnetic" but the only sound I can get from it is the mag pickups. If I plug into the Mono jack, which is closer to the button, then I can achieve either/both sounds by flipping the switch. Is this an unusual configuration?

mbgreene nailed it in his reply. I will add that I've been VERY pleased with the results when using a stereo cable into that jack, and then using the Ernie Ball splitter box to route the discrete magnetic and piezo signals to my amp and the PA respectively. Sadly the Ernie Ball 6190 splitter box is out of production, but you may find some of them still in dealer inventory or in the pipeline.
