I am delighted to announce that EBMM endorsee and incredibly talented bass meister Mr Tony Levin will be giving a one off clinic evening hosted by Machinehead Music in the UK.

The event will take place on 19th July 2007 - somewhere near Hitchin, Herts UK (I'm letting you guys know before the venue has even been booked!).

Further details will be posted as they become available. In the meantime call us at the store if you want to know more.

Dave

P.S. I'd like to publicly thank Beth, Derek and of course Tony himself for managing to make this happen.

Excellent - I am off to see Nuno in London in the evening so earlier in the afternoon would be good to meet up.

Flippin' 'eck, thanks for letting us know!

Now, how can I arrange to be "near Hitchin" on the 19th July without the wife knowing?

Yay we are going :) The venue is sorted now (but I'll let Dave tell everyone where it is). Would be cool to meet up with some other Knuckleheads!

Howdy folks,

Bit of an update for you....

First of all I was unaware that Sterling wants all clinics to be free to the public so there is will be no charge for tickets (many thanks to Strings & Things for their help) - email us at [email protected] to get on the list.

The venue is The Priory Barn at Little Wymondley - http://www.thepriory.net/ which should make for a very atmospheric evening.

Cheers

Welcome, Toneknob! I'm so happy you had a great time at the clinic! Got any more pictures?

DaveB should be chiming in here soon with his photos too. Thanks to DaveB, Derek and Tony for a great clinic!

Hi all.
Many thanks to Tony and everyone who organised the event last night.
Great chance to meet the legend and hear his musings on all things bass related (and not so bass related). A great time was had by all, Tony was a real nice guy, signing and posing for many photos.

Here's all my pics - Public Album - some very similar as I set my phone to take 4 at a time.

Here's my MM/EB credentials btw: Stingray 4-string fretless with piezo pickup in Burnt Apple (I think, it's discontinued now)

Glad you all enjoyed it.

We took a load of pics and I'll post them up once I'm back in the shop.

I'm having a few days R&R with the family.

Hey toneknob, I was sitting next to you. We had a good chat. Glad you enjoyed the night.

You gonna sell some of your other basses and buy more EBMMs? ;)

Hello! Lovely to meet you and the missus.

I've got a 5-string on the shopping list - MM are fiarly high on the list of contenders. Sell a bass though? Are you mad? There's no such thing as too many basses.

How's your new toy working out?

I'm sitting here with it strapped on now. Just about to start a bit of practice. It is absolutely fantastic. Keep checking the bass forum as I will be starting a thread on my thoughts about it in a day or two.

5-string MM, YKIMS. ;)

BTW, as I said to you on the night, you should deal with DaveB, if buying new. He is very accomodating.
