ok, whilst attempting to riase my pickup...the screw..umm...turns off the bass when turned past a certain point...

have i encounted a long lst secret of the pre-eb's? a kill switch is nice in some cases but not when it's the screw of the pickups.

anyone else seen this?

thanks
joel D.

btw, i should say, it's the treble side, and it's at an exact spot, not just the pickups raised to a certain height, it's 1/20th of a turn to make it on or off, same spot each time.

you have no idea how tempted i am to do that, just to see if i can fix it, it's the alternative outcome that worries me.

there's the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" what if it it's only partially broken some of the time. Im happy with the pickup where it is, andi fear the destruction of the pickup upon it's release...

decisions...

i hate to say this
but
take it to a luther
that way
if he messes it up its not your fault
turn the screw back
then go in and say you want it raised
he goes to raise it
it quites
he opens it up
and either fixes it or it breaks
if it breaks he still can fix it
