Hi there new guy

Hope this helps but I've followed all of the written and broadcast news reports on this case here in the UK, and I understand the chances of anyone who was in any of the affected locations being seriously affected are minimal.

From what I have read, I believe you would have to have actually ingested a quantity of the substance to be at serious risk of it having an adverse effect on your health. Even physical contact with the poisoned man would not put you at much risk.

People we know had travelled on one of the planes that were followed up straight afterwards and all have been OK.

I must emphasise I am no expert but this is what I have picked up from the extensive news coverage here in England.

I would imagine that the authorities involved are just being super-careful in following up every person that they can.

Hope that helps!

Yea. That's right. I'm sure I heard them say on the news that the staff at the hotel have already been tested and everyone is fine. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

Yes, that Isotope of Polonium is just toxic if it gets inside you.
The radioactivity is too low to get thru your skin, so you should be fine.
Cross my fingers for ya.

I'm sure you and your band are fine. It doesn't appear anyone else has seen any symptoms consistent with the Russian spy. Don't mean to be morbid but if you had any issues, they'd be showing by now. Rest assured.

Good luck bro.

Wow! What a remarkable coincidence to be in that place at that time!

I wouldn't worry about the Polonium though, that stuff is supposedly found in plain old dirt, and it would take a really concentrated amount to make you sick.

You haven't been exposing any dirty secrets of high-ranking Russian officials, have you? ;)

Exposure to radiation and its effects are widely misunderstood. The human body can actually be subject to quite a bit more than would normally garner attention from OSHA and the EPA. Ingestion of a very specific type is what caused problems here. I'm sure you'll be fine.
