I like some oil finishes. Did an old ash Tele that came out very nice, also had an oiled black walnut LP, which sounded and looked great. Would be very interested in oiled Balls.

To me, guitars always look awesome in nice wood stained finishes. I prefer them so much to paint. When can I expect a light wood finished JP? BFR is a step in the right direction. Great Silo, btw.

Yea, it was that sweet all rosewood beauty built from one of the last rosewood body blanks available before the body blank ban.

The what?

What he means is that India controls the rosewood supply. India put a restriction on the size of the wood blanks that they will sell. Now, you can only get blanks that are enough for a neck or maybe just a fingerboard. Can't get a body blank anymore. :(

The only thing I'm unsure about on that guitar is the wooden knobs. It's a bit too arts 'n' crafts for me. I think I might prefer the standard 20th Silo knobs.
