B and N toggles are pickup selectors. Series/Parallel switches between one and two coils of the humbucker, respectively, so you've suddenly got a boatload of tonal options.

Still, it appears to me that there are no switches to split the humbuckers, now I don't know if this has been left out on purpose, I just think that with the humbucker splitting option you could have even more sound possibilities. But I am sure there is a reason for that not being there. So I am only speculating based on my little knowledge.

The great thing is that there is no off position...when all buttons are up it is a different combo (i.e. series/parralell/)

If there were no "off" positions on the toggles then what would the positions be?

I am guessing that there is a certain tolerance level on the number of knobs and switches that would be market acceptable in BP's experience. It would be nice to be able to split coils but if it meant that a bass will look like a jet fighter's cockpit (or worse an Alembic) then MM might do without.

I'm quite happy to ooh and aah over the information that is being released bit by bit about the new bass. The anticipation is being kept going very nicely by letting us know another gem of info once in a while. Every bass produced by EBMM has always been subject to meticulous development which has resulted in a range of killer basses. Whatever the final spec is will be just right! Treat this as an exercise in patience and marvellous anticipation.

We actually evaluate the bass and try to decide what it is....what it should sound like and how it shoud feel. We need to make sure that it s focused and ergonomic. we also have multiple pickup basses with the ability to get sounds via coil splitting. SO guess what We thought of that...we played it alreadty. It didnt make the cut on this one. Is it possible to just sit back and watch this without having to repeat your questions?

I'm just sitting back and enjoying the ride. :) A ride made less enjoyable by all of the ridiculous questions. Am I curious about this new bass? Sure, but come on guys. This isn't our show. I have no desire to be a mod and I hope it doesn't come off like that.

Anyway. Thanks, BP.

What did you expect to happen? Honestly, I have a whole host of questions I would love to ask, but am holding back a bit (I've asked some, okay I admit it). But this is an exiting time for us (and BP for sure) and people are gonna ask questions.

so neodymium or alnico?

I think it is only human nature to want to know more about something we are excited about. I think the bad thing would be if no one showed any interest and just let this threat fade into the background. I am really stoked about this bass and part of it is the mystery behind what the final version will look and sound like.

This bass seems to address such wide range of desired and unimagined goodies that I find myself checking several times everyday to look for updates. Questions are hard to resist. I have asked a couple -- even a real DUMB one

I thank BP and team for kindling a fire in me for this bass by sharing and being patient with us. It will not be easy but I will find a way to get one.

The tone asking and then repeatng your question if not answered and then arguing about your idea will kill these things.

I don t mind quedstions and will answer most as evidenced by my frequent answers.

There are only a couple of people who make it harder for me.

Sooner than later, I will try to post the control function diagram for these, but they will come in time. As for the tones, think of it this way.....

For the H, you will have 4 different PU/Preamp combos
For the 2 and 3 PU versions, you will have 16 different PU/Preamp combos

Lots of options here, and that is before dabbling with the passive tone, or 4 band EQ controls!!!!!

Keep on Keepin' on~
