Ya, I can tell how much you like it by the way you are plugged into the OTHER amp.

(Just kidding. Don't shoot me!)

:D

On a serious note, however, I saw a teenager trying out a Spider at a guitar shop today, and it sounded pretty decent. Nice price, too.

Actually I have been having a blast with the line 6 spider jam amp....I am getting into playing and its ia a fantastic practice tool

I play through tons of different amps o get an idea how its going to behave. Really like the concept fo the spider jam and if you get a chance to play one you should. It makes practicing fun. It is also a commendable example of making a smart product that encourages you to plug in. Hats off to line 6 once again.

would it be my first call for a gig? Im not sure as I use very few effects... Ican tell you that I bought 5 to give to close friends as xmas presents.

So, it's going to be a subtle red burst. PERFECT! It'll look great next to my Dargie 5H Bongo. Between the point and shoot simplicity of the 5H and the everything but the kitchen sink of the SSS(P?), I think I'll be set.

I can't wait.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Back to eggnog...

CAPT I was pointing out that Brandt was trying to keep the posting from the forumites
so the thread appears on the first page....Brandt is a fabulous guy and dealer who knows the drill.

Lets try for once to keep this thread from a persecution of Capt Moto thread. Final Final......

I officially HATE this thread now, as I get more and more convinced I must own one of these, and I think maybe It'll have to my last bass for a longish time:D

And I've been thinking, and between the chambering of the body and the smaller headstock and lighter tuners, this bass will be a lot lighter than a normal MM. Not that I really think my basses are heavy or anything, but I'm not getting any younger is all I'm saying...

Sigh, I really want it to be NAMM time, and this year I'm so excited about the new bass that I've hardly given the theme a thought:)

I wanted to keep this thread high up on the board so it would stay in front of everyone’s eyes and fresh in their minds! I tell at least 10 new people everyday about this forum because of the really cool things that happen and about all cool people that that hang out here. Since becoming an active member I have learned more about EBMM by using this forum than I have learned about other manufactures by touring there factories! (BTW, BP I want to come see you guys in the near future.) This is my testimonial to how cool this place is!

Back to the bass:

BP, what changes have you seen with the differences in the chamber designs? Have you guys narrowed it down to a few choices? If so which ones and why? I am very interested in seeing and understanding how these chambers are going to affect the tone, resonance, sound balance and response of the bass both acoustically and plugged in. Another quick question, do you worry much about its acoustic characteristics (unplugged)? After all it is going to end up being plugged into an amp… the reason that I am asking is that I have had several customers want to hear their bass acoustically before they every plug it into an amp and I can agree that most of the time if it sounds and feels good acoustically it will sound great plugged in. … your thoughts..??
