BP are you able to give us the weight of the 25TH Anniversary bass (5 String Ver)? I'm anxious to know what its weight will be with its chambered body and new tuning machines.

Thank you in advance!

Hey TD! I think BP mentioned that the bass will not be chambered, as it sounded better solid. And the new tuners aren't ready yet. Didn't say when they would make an appearance. I'm gassing for one, too!!! :)

That's cool. But eitherway, i'd like to know if they have a (anticipated) weight for it that they can announce.

Maybe a dumb question.
there are so many things going on here.... I just can't keep track of all the new stuff coming out.
Is Stealth available for SR as well? And for the Sterling 5?

ummm..rock?!? That pic is a StingRay (SR) :D

haha. yeah I know. i own a few. :D
But since it's all black hardware and stuff like that I thought it is a stealth option just like the bongo. (and not a one off)

Ill open up a thread later. We're getting off topic here ;)

A Winner

I picked a heck of a time to stop reading this board. Just read this thread all the way from the beginning -- it's a great trip through the design process, and the result looks like it will contend with the 25th ani SR5 for the title of "my dream bass".

A little vintage, a lot modern, tone monster, EB family dna... this bass could be a real winner.

Hope one shows up in a store in the Boston area!

Being a massive fan of EB in the UK....when are we going to see the new models? Or is it all special order?

I particularly like the new 25th Anniversary with H/S/S. Thats the one for me! Am I right in thinking, after reading 69 pages, that that colour is for the 25th Anniversary...then in 2009 you can pick up the bass as normal with the same configurations?

Stealth black Stingray. I have a standard black Stingray and I thought that was tasty already! Is Stealth Black now going to be an option from now on with Stingrays?

Any idea of who to contact in the UK to look at getting on a 'list' for one of these amazing creations?!

What's the final word on the 25th Anniversary bass body chambering; is it actually chambered? I've seen the cutaway pictures of the chambered 25th guitar, but someone had mentioned that the bass might have ended up as a solid body.

The tone block is there of course. The chambers are not, it's a solid body. BP said it on the guitar alter ego of this thread.

I tried to get a look at one of those babys at the musikmesse frankfurt but MayerMusik just does not allow regular visitors to their booth.

The basses are somewaht avalilable here by know but they are charging up to 3800,00 Euros for the 25th Anni 5HH, whereas you can get it for about 2500$ over in the US. This is less than half of the price.

MUSIC MAN 25TH ANNIVERSARY BASS 5 HSS

Ist that really the wanted result und price policy, to make Europeans pay twice at much.

I am very disappointed, especially about the german distributer....
