Well, its only taken a couple of weeks of solidly trying out every guitar I can get my hands on to lead me back to the conclusion that my axis is a keeper.

I was convinced there was something better out there but for me there wasn't a single guitar that felt right - not one. After giving up the search I decided to get a setup done on my Axis as well as changing the pickups for something with a lower output... result? I've fallen in love with this guitar again!

I guess everyone gets a little itchy about their gear - especially for me since I don't like owning more than one guitar... well, I didn't like owning one guitar

I just bought a rosewood brother for my v.sunburst axis which should be arriving this week! As soon as it arrives I'll be posting pictures a-plenty of the both of them!

I think so, yep :)

I thought the grass was greener, but it wasn't. Simple as that. After a setup and change of pickups the guitar is now working much better for me.

Apologies - my last post seemed like a big "whoop!" for not much, but I'm at work and nobody here plays guitar, dammit!

Well, the last set of pickups were bareknuckle warpigs but I still have the original dimarzios somewhere.

Not sure how much they're worth at all - I'd assume the same as any other 2nd hand set of Dimarzios?

I'll have a think about that, though - I have an old washburn that I might spruce up a bit for a friend...

Geno needs them for an Axis, definitely sell them to him if you sell them. I'd like them, but he needs them more.

I'll dig them out tonight - I have a funny feeling the tech that replaced them the first time cut a fair length of the wires away  but if that is the case I'll knock a bit off the price as that's something that can be fixed, after all :)

haha, no worries. No point having them collecting dust if someone if someone could put them to good use :D

I'll let you know...

it's cool. and no pressure either. If you decide not to sell them I won't hold it against you.

pickups

Ok, I had a look yesterday and the pickups are fine. The bridge wire might need extending but all in all they're in good order.

Geno_xl - I've not sold anything via a forum before! How d'you want to do this?
