After a flurry of activity in recent months I figured it was time to shoot an updated family pic. Sad to see the Dargie Bongo gone, however the white Stingray that replaced it will see plenty of action.

Nice, Mark. Really nice. That fretless 'Ray looks sweet. Tell us about that and the white one (I missed the details). I gotta say, I'd have expected more than half to have tort guards.

LOL Lisa. The fretless did have a tort guard at one point in time, so taking into account I don't want to mess with the 30th Anniversary config, the tort ratio is definitely up there :D

The fretless has a '76 neck and a '77 body, based on Gav's serial number database it is one of the first fretless necks produced. It's the earliest listed on the database.

The white '83 is the latest arrival, used and abused by someone in Detroit and bought by me on eBay. A bath, a set of new mutes and a setup, and she plays as good as new.

Q: Which bass tones do you like, Mark?

A: All of them.

Nice collection. What happened to the extra long scale Ampeg copy fretless?

Nice Rays! :)
The only thing I will never understand though is why people sell their Dargie basses.
If I had one of those I would never ever sell it.....

Is that a real Steinberger XL2 BTW. Also have 1 with a low serial.
Do YOU happen to have a spare battery compartment latch? hehe
