Awesome collection Mark!
That made me laugh, I haven't heard that expression in quite a while. I suspect the term "knackers" might not mean much (in that context at least) to many forum readers, unless they are familiar with the Australian vernacular. Nevertheless, it's well understood by the likes of me !!
Errmm... do Aussies use knackers in the same sense us Brits do?
Nice collection Mark, couldn't help but notice you may like 4's
Back to Mark's basses....I see the pre-EB models have all gone and we're all about EB these days.
Well yes we do....but the usage as per the above is something else again. So, I guess it's a very Aussie thing to say "How's it going [bollox]?". In a friendly sense too. Kind of like when an Aussie saying to another "you old bas*ard!". Probably anywhere else in the world that would be a gross insult but here, provided the delivery and the context is understood, it's a friendly thing.
I never really bonded with the maple board white '83 - it finally convinced me that I actually prefer rosewood boards. The fretless - well, you know the story with that one. Wonderful bass, but not getting much use these days.
Too late Scott, the fretless went a couple of weeks ago .....
Geez I missed that one didn't even know you were considering selling it.
It was posted in the For Sale sticky here, but it only last a day before it sold. Maybe I should have asked more for it?
on another note you bought from Isibashi
good to deal with?
Cost of bass sent to Australia?
