The D2's outsold the original version by a small margin. If I remember correctly the original window was extended to three weeks. I'll get a rough tally up soon, then once they all are built I can give a firm count.

That's great! Thanks, Dargin. I'm glad to hear that. It's a great package with the cool inlays, the ebony, the color-shifting finish. I think you get a lot more. Of course, IIRC we're paying more for this version, but that's cool.

I'm super excited I just finished my JTM45 build and have no EBMMs to play through it!

Sweet. Does EB go by order number or do they do the guitars/basses in batches at a time?

-Phil

IIRC it's sort of a combination of both. Based on the factory tour and posts by BP and the other EB guys, as orders come in they are placed in production schedule buckets based on the pipeline at the time i.e. orders coming in this week will be placed in the production bucket for the week of X in the future. Then when production bucket X comes up they will produce similar instruments within that bucket together to keep the machines on line cutting similar bodies etc within that batch. So they are produced only as ordered within a certain time guideline but not necessarily in exact order #

The colour shifting thing is cool, but I constantly find myself trying to look at it from the angle where the true Dargie green colour pops out (which is really only from more acute angles).
It really is an awesome green.

But from straight in front etc, you the more prominent Candy Apple (which looks like a yellowy, bronzy gold) - and I'm not really a big fan.

Lighting would effect that as well wouldn't it? There was a shot of JP on stage from virtually front on right around the announcement and the green just stood out like a b@st@rd!

Possibly - maybe it's also dependent on the angle of the light shining on it.

Will check it out - might have to rearrange all the lights in my house :D

I think that would have to be just about the perfect JP FanBoy moment, let me know how it goes for you. ;)

Hang on, does that make me a JP or a Dizzy FanBoy ???   ;) :D

Hmmm, I'm not sure if I want to touch that one.... :D

Does anyone else more qualified to give their opinion want to comment? Does Mrs Dizzy post here also?
