today the .no distributor called me and informed me that an error had happened somewhere in the system.
this meant that the bass i ordered back in march (20th sr5 hh) never was ordered from eb...
i was puzzled about why it took so long. kennethb got his 3 months ago, and he ordered one month before me.
i try to be patient even though i have a patience like a 3 year old.. hehe.. now or never
it was a truely asad day because the order window is closed.. ill never get that beauty now i thought to myself!
but then: like finding an escalating bid war on the fender bass you put on ebay, you strike gold
the distributor called back and offered another 20th they had in stock.. and they gave a darn good price!!!
actually so good i can afford a 30th fretless as well!
the 20th is a maple neck with matching headstock and single h.. i dunno if its quilt or flame, but any of those will be good.. (i would prefer a flame top though. im a sucker for those!)
im so happy with the outcome.. hehe.. just got off the phone with a 30th fretless seller and we "shook hands". i expect her (a red bass has to be female, even if she snarls
) to arrive in 2 weeks, perhaps ill have the 20th as well by then
WHOHOOOOO!! WHOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
MrM
ps: is there perhaps a tiny lil chance that somebody over there would know if the sr5 20th emnordic got (single h, maple neck, matching headstock) is flamed or quilted?
if so, perhaps if the sky is blue, the sun is shining and the perfect weekend is ahead of you.. could you tell mrm what he can expect in the quilt/flame department?
just in case you have a bad day, you can comfort yerself with the fact that someone always has it worse:
its around 30f.. clear skies and the sun is below the horizon till 20th of january.. we have to scrape ice off the car every morning.. what id give for some sun wrapped up in a box and shipped over here

tia!
