I need MARTINI RECIPES!!!!!!

:D

We've finally set the day for our Dargie Delight Martini Night up here @ Act 1 Music and I'm needing "Forum" recipes.

I'll definitely need the recipe for the infamous "Dargie Delight" but I know that Beff, Biff, and Bov (nice alliteration huh?) have some monster mixes of their own.

What I'd like also is a good photo of all who submit a recipe because I'm going to do up a little menu with the drinks/contents/author of said potable for people to 'point and order'

so any and all help would be muchly appreciated.

Mad Melon Martini

Well, here's one I came up with for a lovely redheaded lady.......

You'll need a cantalope and a honeydew melon...and a melon baller.....

2 shots Grey Goose Vodka
1 shot Midori
2 shotglasses of half & half

Chuck it all in a blender with a few ice cubes and hit the "go" button.....blend until ice is nicely crushed.

Pour into a martini glass and garnish with lemon twist, and a skewer with 1 ball of honeydew and 1 ball of cantalope......

It's yummy! Not REALLY a martini......But very nice.....and IT'S GREEN!!!!!!!!!

Beth's Chocolate PMS/GAS Martini (or the one you feed to your wife before telling her about your GAS):

3:1* Chocolate liqueur (preferably Godiva) to Vodka (I use Ketel One)
Dash of Kahlua - must say "Ay carramba" while pouring this or the drink will have no mojo

Shake with ice, serve chilled while making soft cooing noises to wife and offering a foot massage.

*Use 3:2 or even 3:3 ratio if the PMS/GAS is really bad

Pete, I think there's plenty of pictures of me floating around on this forum, but let me know if you need another.

Well if you really want a Dargie Delight here is the real recipe:

I mostly drink EXTREMELY dry vodka (Ketel One) martinis with NO vegetables.

- fill shaker with ice
- add vodka
- pour about an ounce of dry vermouth in glass, swirl, POUR IT OUT
- shake the living bejeezus out of the vodka and ice
- pour into fancy, easy-to-knock over glass
- call BP in middle of night.

For special occasions, I make what has been called the "Blue Jack Martini".

- fill shaker with ice
- add three shots of Ketel One
- add one shot of regular (NOT PINK) grapefruit juice
- add about a capful of Blue Curacao (enough to make it blue, not more)
- shake the living beejezus out of it
- pour into fancy, easy-to-knock-over glass
- call Dargin in middle of night.

The last one is loosely based on the "Q" martini, created for the Bond movies, but I changed it a bit. If it's made right, the grapefruit juice masks the punch of the vodka and the curacao masks the bite of the grapefruit juice. It's lethal!
