hi Guys,I wonder if i could get a speedy response,I'm looking at buying a used silo and was wondering if you could shed some light on it,
the serial is g16407 or G18407.
its a blue 24fret with a kahler trem,Is that an original fittment on this guitar.

As far as I can remember EBMM never used a Kahler cam-type bridge as standard equipment on any guitar. Maybe they used a fulcrum-style double locking Kahler on the Steve Morse model back in the mid-late 80s since Steve had one or two with that type of Kahler but they may have been personal guitars modded for him and not available to the public.

That's a special version if I recall! I saw a few of them being sold in the USA and the UK, back a few years ago. Because of the Kahler, it's a bit more expensive than the normal version. This version also has a breaker control as well as the coil tap spec. That's a really nice guitar!

Can I just ask a question? Why under the brand does it say Ibanez? Unless i'm missing a key point here, I though it was a Musicman...

Looks modded to me as well. In some of the close ups of the Kahler you can kind of see the original trem rout. The very fact that there is a trem cover on the back of the guitar suggests that it had the EBMM trem. As someone pointed out earlier, Kahler springs are vertically mounted into the body and would not require the back routing.
