looks great....but i'd need a guitar tech to help keep me straight. My first ball was an Axis, and it took me a while to be able to handle a flush mounted floyd....can't imagine a floater.

I prefer my floyds to be floating.. Granted, it takes a while to get use to it and to tune it.. But, it kinda beats the purpose of a floyd on a guitar if it only dives!! Then, again, it all comes down to choice.. Like Jason said, Its nice to be able to pull UP once in a while and get those harmonics screaming

It's an old one; Silo's had the option of a recessed Floyd from say 1991-1995 give-or-take a year (roughly the same time frame that the EVH Signature was available).

I'm not into floyds, but I'd reckon it'd boost Silo sales.

After all, the JP is the only floating model EBMM offer - so if someone is not into the JP's, but wants a floater, they're going to go somewhere else.

(I know the Luke is set to float, but it's just not the same.)

There are also those who swear by the full locking setup, so that even counts the JP out.

The Floyd design might be seen as a bit archaic compared to some versions on offer these days though ?

I didn't realize that - I thought it was just a pristine early 90s Silo. Maybe it's NOS that had been hiding in a store's stockroom for 15-18 years? Of course Lionel also posted those Silo Specials with recessed Floyds EBMM did for their Japanese distributor; maybe this is from another special run?

Good, of course... Was referring to the part that the FR is a recessed one as opposed to the one on the Axis.
