BP, maybe we did lose sight that you were the initial victim here... sorry. I think we were all excited by the events and how the story unfolded... I know I was.
Also, all I meant by saying Island Boy would be taken care of was that EBMM would not let him lose his money, faith in GC or in EBMM. I don't want anyone to think I was implying he should get something free, discounted or otherwise...
Yeah but could Island Boy really have lost his money in this situation? Wouldn't GC have given him a refund anyway? As a consumer I like to know this stuff because I buy used every now and then. If so maybe GC better be checkin those numbers before hanging them out for sale.
GC offers a 30 days no questions asked money back guarantee, even on their used gear. I would know I have returned three guitars within the last few years and it doesn't matter which store you had purchased the guitar in, they will all take the returns (as long as if you have the original receipt). Most of my Balls were purchased from GC's all over the country.
I still think that there should be a main on-line guitar database for retailers, with serial #'s and guitar descriptions / options. This way, when someone brings in a guitar for trade or sale they can check the main database first. Just a thought...
