Hi everyone :)

I have purchased an used EBMMJP6 (Serial : G17749)
The back of the neck, in the middle, is a little rough. Near the fingerboard, it's perfect but the middle is rough... Can I do something ?

I have purchased Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil, Birchwood Casey Wax and Birchwood Casey "Stock Sheen and Conditioner".
Can i use the Conditioner to remove the roughness, and then apply Tru-Oil, and finish with Wax ? Is it dangerous for the neck
Perhaps another idea to remove this roughness ?

Thanks for your help :)

for really rough spots ....u can touch them up w/ 600 grit sandpaper........then over all use some 0000 steel wool....then follow the directions w/ the birchwood & casey stuff.......

Thanks !

But it's not very rough, just a little...
Birchwood Casey Conditioner is not enough, you think ?
Can I have some problems if I use it to polish the neck, before using Tru-Oil + Wax ?

If it's not very rough, just use the steel wool. I have never used the conditioner, so I can't help you there.

the conditioner makes the neck even slicker feeling......almost like the neck is hard finished.......very beautiful.....but i like the feel of the e.b. factory application better......steel wool......oil.....& wax ....
i use 00 steel wool to get a more woody feel....
(no coments from the peanut gallery about woody feels  )
