oh yea???????
get this story of what happend to me this week with my local dealership
its a bit long so be pacient it's an email sent to ebmm customer service...
here we go....

"We would like to offer our sincere apologies for your wait, I know
how tough it can be waiting for an instrument to arrive. Marom's(THATS THE LOCAL DEALER)
original quote of(4 months) should of been a quote regarding when the
instrument would be ready to ship from the US. Standard back order on
all Music Man instruments(which are made to order) is roughly 120 days.
Sometimes it can even take longer due to the fact that we make sure
every instrument that we ship out meets our strict standards both
cosmetically and functionality(playability).

Your instrument is complete and was scheduled to ship out on the 3rd
of January however due to undisclosed reasons Marom's shipment has been
pushed back and is know scheduled and will leave on January 16th, 2006.
Which means they will be receiving it the week of January 23rd. Please
feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions at all and I'll
be more then happy to assist you. Also keep my e-mail on hand and feel
free to use me as a reference if you have any questions once you get you
Luke.

Most Sincerely,

THAT SUCKS OR WHAT??????

Who are you mad at? Take a couple of deep breaths and realize that you ordered a custom guitar and that if we shipped it separately you would not be able to afford this guitar. My customer service rep took time to explain the slight delay and give you his contact information. Is there anything else that would make you happy?

No the dealer called me on Thursday after S&T called him and said the guitar would be shipped immediately. My dealer said come in Monday (giving a couple of days for courier cock ups). Monday comes and I go to dealer who doesnt have guitar (he should have phoned me to let me know) and after a call to S&T they said it was still in their warehouse - they told the dealer they were "a bit behind". Which is fair enough but why make the original call if you cant fulfill what you promised.

The guitar is there now and hopefully will be with me soon....

Dave,

Think once again about what my dad said. Is there any reason you can think of why S & T didn't ship the guitar to your store?

Hey EBMM guys -

The original post was borne out of my frustration, I was expecting to be playing my new guitar on Monday.....and you know how we knuckleheads get when something stops our GAS from being sated.

Beth is right I should have phoned the dealer first (I've known him for 15 years never had this kind of thing happen before) - hindsight is a wonderful thing - BAD DAVE - NO BISCUIT!

It wont be mentioned again, keep up the good work and I'm sorry if I've upset anybody

From a selfish perspective, sure. But without a network of dealers to distribute the products, there'd be no EBMM guitars out there. Try buying a car direct from Ford, Toyota, etc and see how that works ... ;)

Is it because they were getting my free Anniversary Silo ready?

:D :D
