Valentine pickup swap question

I'm interested in grabbing a Valentine but I'm not a huge fan of bridge single coils and would want to swap out the stock pickup for something else (a BKP or Seymour Duncan, probably). I notice that the Valentines have three mounting screws on the pickup rings- can I do a straight swap for a standard humbucker or do they need different mounting tabs to fit in the Valentine rings?

You might find yourself keeping the stock pickup. Hit the built in boost and role the tone down slightly and it sounds like a great humbucker.
