Hi all.
I hate posts like these too.
I have a very nice 1998 Sterling bass that I unfortunately need to put up for sale. It's light metallic gray, clear guard with a birds-eye neck with a rosewood board. I've been watching the eBay for some time trying to get a handle of what it's actually worth, but you just don't see all that many birds-eye Sterlings changing hands. Does the bird's-eye neck add or detract from the value somewhat? I can see it being a desirable trait as well as an undesirable one due to the constant truss-rod tweaking required.
Or should I just go with "it's worth $500 ~ $1,000 depending on who wants it, the day of the week, and the weather forecast"? LOL!
Any insight here is greatly appreciated.
