Seeing them in vancouver
Saw them for DD and 5150 tours DD was the best in Vancouver of the two.
Had awesome seats on Eddie's side ( i could spit on him if i wanted)
5150 was played at the bowl in BC Place which had really bad acoustics.
How is the opeing act ?

Some important news:

Van Halen and Sammy Hagar at odds

Van Halen lead vocalist Sammy Hagar and other band members reportedly are at odds, with Hagar threatening to bail on the rockers' current U.S. tour.

Hagar's relationship with his bandmates has been stressed since guitarist Eddie Van Halen fired the singer's road crew, the Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles rock 'n' roll Web site reported Wednesday.

Hagar has planned a side tour of eight shows in 10 days opening for Ted Nugent in December with rumors of a full blown spring-summer tour as Nugent's opening act in the works.

This is it for VH with Sammy. There will be no other tours or new album, an unidentified source said.

That's what i found here: http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=1a2ee7c90322ac9c

To rehash and borrow from some posts on this subject on vhlinks.com:

I know that the brothers have a lot of power when it comes to everything Van Halen, but why would Ed be allowed to fire Sammy's crew specifically? I would think that there is enough weight pulled by Sammy in this getup that EVH can't just go around firing Sammy's people. Besides, who starts firing their road crew 2/3 of the way through a tour?

"Judging from recent band interviews, tour reviews, and comments from 9*, everything's going fine."

* 9, better known as 9ona10scale on vhlinks, has been identidfied as Sammy Hagar's nephew, and reports in on things and goings on with the band. He confirmed everything from the reunion and forward, and his posts are always dead on. He has said on many occasions that all is right in the VH realm.

This is more BS...there have been rumors floating around for quite some time (that Sammy has denied) about Sammy opening for Nugent. The funny thing is that this article comes out the same time that Sammy's on the air in Atlanta whenthey did their show there, talking about how great things have been, and that the boys are planning to go into the studio to cut another album after the tour.

I don't buy it, but then that's just me. :)

I don't buy it either, Eddies not a jerk for one thing and he wouldnt go firing Sammys road crew 3/4 of the way through a tour, go to Sammy Hagars homepage and contact him and see what he has to say on the matter

Eddie's not a jerk?!?! That is debatable...lol....anywho, I think that is BS myself. Sammy can make it on his own accord and did so before Van Halen and afterwards. If it was that bad, he would leave without any worries. Already happened once (fired or not) and he was fine. I really believe the tour will finish and I believe there will be a VH album afterwards.

BTW, the EVH I want to see pics of in EVH gear would be the one who posts here... ;) And yes, wearing your own merch is a VERY lame... :D

if you go to vhlinks.com you will see that that the sammy hagars crew being fired rumour has been approved as old and false. They arent at disputes, read articles do a little more research before you assume things, Eddie and Sammy say the band is doing awesome on the tour and is nothing compared to what is to come :D

Yeah....anyone can post stuff out here in electric wonder land!! Like I said earlier, Sammy would leave IMO if things weren't right and if he is still there, everything is cool. Enjoy the show when you go and let us know how it went.

I got news for you, EVH....49 more days for me.

Yes folks, the mighty VH, stacked with full road crew or not, is going to be paying a visit to norm-ie's neck of the woods, Tucson, AZ on Nov 18th. I'm going with the boy (and I promised him this time I wouldn't ditch him...LOL!)

Round 3, here we come!

Trouble brewing?

I actually heard that there has been some troubles in the water in the Van Halen camp too.The only difference is this news came straight from the horses mouth. My freinds father is doing a development deal with Sammy Hagar to build a Cabo Wabo club here in St.Louis.The day of the first St.louis show Sammy actually paid him a visit. He spoke how Sammy expressed concerns about Eds behavior. He said that after this tour he is never touring with these guys again becuse Ed is getting so messed up.I Have no doubt that this was said because he certainly would have no reason to lie because Sammy is his business partner. However,When I went to the show that night Ed and Sam seemed to be closer than Ever.I hope that is the case because I love Van Halen and really look forward to a new record.Maybe Sammy was just blowing off some steam.Anyway,I would like to thank sammy for the autograghed CAbo Shirt he gave me,It was awsome!

The ST Louis show was apparently one of the bad concerts. Sammy said this because in july they were all concerned because eddie was acting weird on stage, but now the shows are getting awesome reviews so I think we can dismiss this as old. Since this tour is getting rave reviews I doubt Sammy would just leave anyways

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Eddie drinking and firing people at the 31 flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Go to the damn show already, and enjoy it as if you would never see them again (I did, which makes it all the more special). If they tour again in the future, great...if they don't, then so be it.

However, my feeling is that retirement means absolute sh*t these days (i.e. Michael Jordan, Charles Barkely, Ozzy, Jay-Z *who just retired, but is coming to town in a month*, P-Diddly, etc.)...even the "normal" folks in the world don't just retire, unless they're graced with a Powerball win.

The thing I look forward to most of all is a new studio release from VH.I think that up for breakfast and learning to see are signs of great things to come.THats what makes this band so great. As song writers they have a gift of being able to think outside of the box.The music sounds like no other band. All these new bands still cant hold a candle to Van Halen from a songwriting perspective.Thats something that either you got or you dont and VH has got it.Its a special brand and you can only get from one place.Carry on fellas!
