You've gotten taller or Ben is seriously shrinking up.
Cool looking pics Tyler.....Looks like the Luke is your favorite....Where do we get a guitar strap like yours? with different initials of course.
I know it's good for me, I just love my luke...it has to be THE greatest guitar in the world!![]()
Hey Tyler, I'm waiting for you to bust out the 20th, Blues Power. It's your avatar so...................
whose the guy you were sitting down with in that pic? hes playing a squier 51 I believe -
that's Roosevelt Twitty...I met him in a music store when I was 11...I didn't really know much about guitar. I knew a few chords (G, C, D ,E), but I couldn't play. I had never heard of "blues" until then. As I was getting strings, I heard this sound...I had never heard anything like this before. Mr. Twitty was playing some old Lighting Hopkins sounding blues. He was sitting over in the corner by the window just singing to himself. Fascinated, I walked over to watch. He asked if I liked blues. I told him I hadn't heard to much of it. He gave my mom his phone number and told her that he would teach me everything he knew. I knew that I was going to be a guitar player when I was 4, but that day, I realized that I had to be a guitar player. That is when music started for me. I put a "for sale" sign on my Yamaha dirt bike that I just got for Christmas so I could put and Epiphone Les Paul on lay away. I began to go to his house a few times a week. He would let me here B.B. King and Muddy Waters. He would play Lightning Hopkins and Otis Rush. It was like school. We started to play out together after a few months. A local news paper gave us the name "The Blues Buddies." We played together for 2 or 3 years until he decided to take it easy. I still love to have him come out and do a song with me when he can. His health is not great, so he doesn't get out much. He is legally blind and has bad diabetes. He is the nicest man you could ever meet though...I could go on for days...
yes that is a Squire 51.
It's funny-I will say "Mr. Twitty, What guitar would you like to play?" He will say, "OOOh I don't care...Just give me one. I can play whatever you hand me." He really likes my white Luke though. "Can I play that white guitar. Boy I tell you what...That thing sure is smooth!"
