From reading this now you know for Steve's best interest why I told him that coming to Dallas wasn't going to be a good idea. He was still trying to confront the issue and trying to make it though without the above public admission. Hats off to you Steve. These posts couldnt have been easy.
Also it was not fun watching from the sidelines while this substance took over Steve and his business. I was worried first and foremost for his health and then for VBTC and you customers. The last few weeks were very emotional in our communications.
WHen I opened VBTC at the same time I sort of took Steve under my business wing and he got a mentor whether he liked it or not. THe best interests for all concerns is to
get through the Dargies and then sit down and make sure that Steve has a business model that is rock solid. This was Steve's call, (not that I wasnt close to a similar call!) Through many conversations he has the tools and knows what to do..but first we need to get our boy healthy again.....
If its all the same to all of you I would like to keep this thread short and if you guys want to go deeper then the Dudepit would be the place. I will participate over there

I've had a bit of time to think about my response here and all I can say is, Steve's a great bloke who will always be a great bloke and our thoughts are with you. Hope your dad is doing OK as well?

I've only briefly met you (at the EBOH) Steve, but all the same wish you the best of luck in your situation.
I faced a pretty stiff abuse problem when I was pretty young, and some how (luck I guess), I had a wave of common sense come over me around 21 that told me tos top it all, so I did.
I realize now how lucky I was to have it happen so early in life.
