Im awaiting a set of ebmm axis pickups from a friend on the forum too finally put in my ax40! So far its an trans gold ax40, ive refinished the neck to bare wood and gave it the oil and wax treatment( i did a thread on that) and now I am finally getting the real deal pups! And Brian from Sterling was nice enough too send me a chrome toggle switch too! So I will be thrilled to unveil my poor mans axis, an axis special if you will,LOL. But cant wait, since ive tried other dimarzios that did not capture the pickup character of the real axis pups, I might need some help wiring everything together, and should I change the vol pot? While im at it and or the jack? Even though there both pretty good, any ideas? I can not wait! Like christmas, i really cant wait untill my first real NGD! Probably used but hell new to me! Right?! Lol!
