Just wanted to say that I had an incredibly good experience today at the Chattanooga, TN Guitar Center. While I'll spare you all the details, suffice it went say that a particular item I was looking for was not in stock.

The Store Manager, Chris Leland, and Sales Person, Michael Garrett each took extra steps to insure my satisfaction. While the sale wasn't huge, the $200 I spent today will be the beginning of a loyal relationship with these two gentlemen and that particular store in the future. Chris Leland seemed very familiar with this forum and got a huge smile on his face when I mentioned I lurk here often.

On a side note, and to make this relevant to EBMM, this particular GC, while probably (comparably) small in volume, has a nice selection of MM basses (even has the only Bongo I've played) and Ernie Ball products (got my first Wonder Wipes there). I'm seriously contemplating going back for the Bongo.

If you're in the Chattanooga area, I would highly encourage you to visit this GC.

Thanks for your kind words about Guitar Center. I'm delighted that me met your expectations and grateful to you for taking the time to share your experience with the EBMM Forum.

All the best,

I can kick in another good Guitar Center story.
I went to the GC in Canton, MI and was looking for new pickups for my Fender Jazz 5 string bass. I didn't like the sound of it....at ALL.
Anyway, long story short...the bass guy asked me if I had ever tried a Music Man. I told him yes but they were not in my budget at all. He said they just got in a used Stingray 5 string and would I like to try it?
I said yes, he pulled it out, and it was SILVER. I was in LOVE! I plugged it in and fell even deeper in love.
He sold it to me at a price that made it hard to resist.
I sold my Fender the next day.
