I have got to tell you, this 25th Anniversary bass is beautiful, not just to look at, but it's a dream to play!! I have only had it a week now, I can guarantee you the honeymoon with this one is never going to end.

I have watched and heard Ed Friedland demoing an HH model on his YouTube review but unfortunately he didn't demo the H-S-S model which offers even more options in terms of pickup combinations. I am completely stunned by the 2 singles played together with a little bass and hi-mid boost, this combination gives you an addictive sound spectrum, that I just can't put it down.

The middle single coil on his own, could probably put an end to any P-Bass comparison, I mean this is just as close to the real thing as you're ever going to get.

Altogether, out of one bass I can get a StingRay sound with the bridge humbucker in parallel, or a Sterling sound with the same humbucker in series, I can get a Bongo sound with the bridge and neck in active mode while all the 3 pickups together kick ass. You can get a J-bass sound with the bridge and neck single, or with the 2 singles by themselves in passive. It just never stop amazing you. I abosolutely love it. As soon as more people will get to try them, I am sure that the 2010 models will become very popular, like BP said those who try them will get it. This is state of the art. And the fact that the neck shape is based on the Bongo shape but with the unfinished profile makes it a very fast neck.

I never owned a bass with a mahogany block, you will know once you play one with this feature, that it just rings and rings with sustain, which means you have to play a lot cleaner than before, because the resonance can be unforgivng when you move your hand on the neck if accidentally you strike an open string while fretting another that open string will continue to ring until you are able to mute it. The sustain is incredible.

I will treasure this bass for ever, it's absolutely wonderful.

and on looks alone...

Congratulations again! These basses are phantastic! If I had the money and opportunity I'd get one of each variant, HH & HSS in 4 and 5 string, normal and BFR. I have the HH four string and tried it's five string variant last week. Best playing fiver I've had in my hands. These basses are just phanatstic. Did I already say that?

Yeah, this HSS 5 25th it's for a long time the subject of my desire!

I've found some not Ed's videos on the YT and have a picture how it works.
Also reached for all other official info over the EBMM site!

Does 25th models will be available in the future too, or it's just limited edition?

Does future Reflex will replace equally the 25th in quality and options way?

I will have some extra money in spring time after I finish my house interior, so must wait little more...

A European forum member was the last one to get an order in... I think it was DTG. So, they're not available anymore. Everything else can only be answered after the Reflex is made available to the public.

This just makes me regret not getting one when it was still available.

Hopefully the reflex would be as great. Although I suppose the mahogany tone block won't be in it.

I'm in a tight here. I've commited to waiting until my birthday (Jan 22) before allowing Brandt to ship my 25th BFR to me. However, I can theoretically have it as early as Tuesday! I don't feel as desperate as GW was for three months, but you all know how it is. I'm going to try to wait it out!

Glad you are thrilled with yours, GW, and all you other 25th'ers. Can't wait to join the club.

I just returned home from vacation in FL and picked mine up maybe 5 minutes after bringing the bags inside... I missed it and I love that bass... Reset the amp and controls flat and fell in love again... Gently coaxing my favorite tones out AND just loving the flat tones... So darn tasty.

Glad you are lovin it too GW... It doesn't get old... It really doesn't.

The 25th is the uber-butterbass...

Lets hope the reflex spreads!

If the Reflex is as good as the 25th I see no reason why it shouldn't spread, but you know better than me, this forum represents only a small drop in the ocean compared to the zillions of bass players out there, and unless the Reflex starts to make substantial appearance in the music stores for people to try, then it might prove difficult to "spread".

Heck, even today the Bongo's are few and far in between in our London stores at best of times, and they have been available from 2003!!
