A few years ago I saw a thread on another forum, where the OP flashed some guitars, and one of the guitars he showed was a PBB Axis modded with a pick guard and a middle single coil. I really liked the looks of that guitar, and from the description of the guitar, it seemed like the perfect guitar for me. Unfortunately the owner wrote very clear, that he was never going to sell that guitar. Fast forward to summer last year, where I saw an ad for that particular guitar. In the meanwhile I have still been wanting an Axis - and preferably THAT Axis - but I also really liked my Charvel So-Cal, and I felt that I could easily have lived with that guitar some more years, so I pretty much forget about getting an Axis and just played my Charvel. Well, that was until I saw the ad with the guitar, and I figured, that if I would not get THAT Axis, then I'd just play my Charvel and be happy. But I still wanted the guitar more than anything, so I worked my ass off in the summer vacation, and then, finally, August the 18th I bought the guitar, and I was very happy - the was literally the guitar of my dreams.

And now the honeymoon is over, and yet I'm still liking this guitar more and more everyday. This guitar just feels right in my hands, and the sound is to die for. I've got great humbucker tones for when I want to rock, and with the middle single coil, and split on the neck pickup I've got some great stratty single coil tones.

Enough talking, here's some pics:

Hello, and welcome to the forum. I think the PBB looks great with a pickguard.
What are your thoughts on the missing screws? Do the holes bother you? Sorry, my ocd is kicking in...

Have a great day!

Thank you guys! I look forward to read and write on this board in the future! :)

@Tollie:
I don't really mind the missing screws, but I have thought about taking some screws and cutting them just beneath the screwhead, and then just glue them into the holes, but I haven't done it yet.

That's a very good idea. It'll look right, and you won't drill into the body.

Oh, cute dogs, by the way.

Thank you! This literally was my dream guitar (it still is), that one guitar, that you know you will probably never get - and I got it! August the 18th 2013 was indeed a very good day :)

The dogs are Icelandic Sheepdog. Not so common, but they are very sweet, and pretty smart too :)

Congratulations! Very cool story of how you scored your dream guitar. The Axis is hands down my favourite guitar ever. Enjoy!!
