I have barely every played this guitar and it has been cased most of the time. A few years ago I was kindly sent a new jack plate from the good peeps at EB. I am wanting to start playing again, (I just turned 57), and I am consolidating my gear and getting rid of items I don't use. It only makes sense to keep good items at this age, so when I uncased my wicked trans gold Axis a few weeks ago, the back sides and screws of the orig tuners have rusted badly and can hardly be turned. I ordered the wrong tuners from STEWMAC and sent them back today. I sent a msg to the cust service peeps at Ernie Ball hoping I can buy the 4 x 2 combo, but if I can only get them as the usual 3 a side it is not a huge deal. I of course want the exact size and profile. I am now keeping it on a sturdy stand w/ a large pillowcase coves.
