Very strange fret issue. Waranty?

Thanks. I haven't sent the warranty card in yet, and now won't because I'm needing to sell it. I guess I could pass my reciept along to the new owner and he could register it. Would that work?

Of course, if I can't sell it.. I'll just hold on to it. If so, I'm going to replace the PU's because I'm really not into them at all. They are just too dark, and not all that useful to my ears. But the guitar itself is wonderful.

As far as their being a warranty issue, I'm not really sure that there is one at this point. I think once the guitar gets some playing action, it'll be fine. The frets polish up with no problems.

Technically I believe the warranty is to the original purchaser and is not transferable. This makes sense because the second owner may unwittingly claim something is a warranty issue that is the result of abuse by the first owner, without knowing the first owner casued the problem.

Any used guitars I buy I always steel wool the fretboard and also polish the frets and hit the fretboard with mineral oil. I also do that as maintenance for the guitar from time to time.

Well, that makes sense. I guess it depends on the company's policy. I doubt I'll ever send the warranty card in then, if I'm indeed selling it.
