Very Stupid Wonder Wipes Questions

Went to my local music store this afternoon to fetch the set of palm size Wonder Wipes I had ordered after reading all the praise here on the forums. Hurried back home to try some cleaning, but was stopped by the... missing instructions!

So here it comes:
1.) How to I properly open those canisters? Cut the seal? Rip it open? Make a small puncture?

2.) How do I apply the different types properly? Do I need to dry clean after application? Does it matter when the string cleaner also gets on the fretboard or on the body?

I may really be missing the totally obvious here, but I thought I'd rather ask than make something even more stupid...

Thanks for your support of the Wonder Wipes!

Puncture the seal and take the wipe from the center of the roll. Pull that up through the hold in the lid and ta-da.

The fluids are completely harmless and evaporate without manually drying after applying the wipe to the body, fretboard, or strings.

Are the instrument polish wipes supposed to be dry? Mine were, and using them only seems to make streaks on my finish. Thanks.

Puncture the seal and take the wipe from the center of the roll. Pull that up through the hold in the lid and ta-da.

OK. After puncturing, I ripped the seal completely from the canister, because I could't get at the wipe from the center of the roll otherwise than taking the roll out.

The fluids are completely harmless and evaporate without manually drying after applying the wipe to the body, fretboard, or strings.

The instrument polish WWs left some streaks and swirls on the finish. I buffed that off with a microfibre cloth.

It looks as if the Wonder Wipes will come in handy at rehearsals or gigs, but I'll probably prefer to do instrument care old style, using the proper cleaning fluids and microfibre clothes when at home.

I am really digging the Wonder Wipes Fretboard Conditioner, my rosewood fretboard was a little '' dry '' ( had a light, white chalky like appearance ) and it worked wonders, It conditioned my fretboard and gave it a lovely dark color, and not to mention, smells great, like oranges!

Im had the same issue with mine, and for now am going back to traditional form of care. THe fetboard conditioner has been top notch!!!!!!

thats good advice, the first instrument wipes I got were the small ones, I used them up pretty quick so the next time I bought some I got the large ones and I did like I did on the small container and pulled the whole plastic off the top, well after a short period of time with less than half the wipes used they went almost completely dry. I am assuming just puncturing the plastic helps prevent that. awesome product, at the GC I work at I sell tons of these things because I use them and believe in them, keep up the great work guys/gals.

I just picked up the fretboard conditioner and string cleaner wonder wipes for the first time today - great timing on this post. Both worked fine...

For those who entirely removed the seal, which I did on my fret board WW

Take piece of plastic wrap, poke a hole in the center, pull the wipe through and cover the open container. Put lid back on. That will act as a new seal and help keep wipes from drying out.
It worked for me.
